3.  Due Friday 3/1 Typed response to the Writing Prompts based on the film The Last of the Mohicans:
  • During the film the colonial militia discussed their obligation to serve the British in their fight against the French.  How do their feelings change about serving and their obligation to the crown as the film goes on and why?  How might these feelings be potential seeds of revolution?
  • Throughout the film the main character Nathaniel discussed his feelings about frontiersmen and their obligation to the British.  At the end of the film he comments on Magua's plan to emulate both the French and the British in their quest for power and riches.  What is Nathaniel's stance on European-Native relations?  Why does he feel this way?
